How to Manage Billing?
Prerequisites
Ensure you are signed up and logged in to the AvaCloud Portal before managing billing. For registration and login instructions, refer to: How do I sign up and log in?
Accessing Billing
To manage billing, click your Profile icon and then choose Billing from the menu.
The billing dashboard categorizes information by subscription, displaying details for each Web3 Data API/Webhook and L1 subscription.
L1 Subscription Details
Each L1 subscription provides a detailed breakdown of billed items:
Understanding Storage Pricing
Billing for L1 storage involves two main components:

Chain Storage: $0.12 per GB. Every L1 includes a baseline storage allowance; storage beyond this threshold is billed at the stated price.
- Testnet: 20 GB included
- Mainnet: 50 GB included

Explorer Storage: $1.50 per GB. This covers the indexed data used by your L1’s blockchain explorer.
In general, Chain Storage typically increases about ten times faster than Explorer Storage.

Validator Staking Fee (Mainnet Only)
For Avalanche Mainnet L1s, a Validator Staking Fee applies. Each validator has a monthly fee of 1.33 AVAX (billed in USD).

How to Update Payment Methods
To update the payment method for any L1 subscription, click Update payment method from the ⋮ menu beside the subscription. You will be redirected to Stripe.
Stripe provides several tools to manage your payment details.
To add a new payment method, click “Add payment method” and enter your card information; you can also set this card as the default for future payments.
Canceling an L1 Subscription
If you need to tear down an L1, you can do so by canceling the L1 subscription. Select Cancel plan from the ⋮ menu next to the corresponding L1.
When you cancel, your L1 remains active until your current billing cycle ends, after which it will be decommissioned or torn down. You are responsible for charges covering the full billing cycle and any usage-based fees incurred before decommissioning.
